Well, last week (Feb 2, 2025- Feb 9, 2025) was a successful week in terms of fulfilling my training intentions for the first time. The previous weeks I had only been able to do some of my training, as I was still adjusting to the training volume that I had set as my goal. Three weeks agoIt felt very difficult to go on two runs, one swim, a bike ride, and a strength training session. I think it was helpful that one school day got canceled and I was able to stay at home to do school work and chores. Like with any other goals and habits, time management seems to be an important aspect on developing a consistent training routine. I will see what I’m able to do this week, as we will have a normal school week, and I do have a soccer game for the intramural team.


I have started using this app called Runna which has been helping me pace my runs better as I have had a difficult time slowing down enough to do longer distances. I have been using the free version and so far it has been great to have a plan to follow to get running a 5k at a faster pace. This was my first 5k in a while and it felt good overall as I would run for 3 minutes and walk for 2 minutes.

This swim was just amazing, it felt so effortless and when I got to my goal of 1500m I felt like I could swim another 500m easily. I love the flow state I can sometimes feel while exercising, once I have warmed up. My favourite part is the sauna afterwards.
